Concrete Patcher for Repair Work

Sakrete Top n Bond Concrete Patcher is a polymer-modified sand-cement repair mortar designed for resurfacing and patching concrete. It handles repairs from half an inch down to a featheredge and requires only water for mixing. Suitable for general concrete restoration tasks.

Performance Under Sustained Use

The mortar maintains workability during extended application periods when mixed correctly. Its polymer modification helps the material resist cracking and shrinking as it cures over time. Consistent bonding performance is achieved across the full repair depth range.

Practical Limits of Cement-Based Repair

The product is restricted to concrete substrates and cannot be used on other surfaces without proper preparation. Minimum repair thickness is a featheredge while maximum single-layer depth is half an inch. Deeper voids require multiple applications with adequate curing between layers.

Questions about this item

Does the Sakrete 120031 patcher generate dust or heat while mixing and curing?

The polymer-modified mortar produces dust only during dry mixing; once water is added it cures at ambient temperature without generating noticeable heat.

What tools and materials must I already have to use this concrete patcher?

You need clean water, a mixing container, a margin trowel or putty knife, and a sound concrete substrate free of oil or loose debris.

Will the gray repair blend with older concrete that has weathered to a different shade?

The patch dries to a standard gray; colour match with aged slabs varies, so a test area is recommended before full application.
