Collapsible File Box with Lid

This black file organiser box measures 15 x 12.5 x 10.5 inches and holds both letter and legal size folders. It is built from polyester fabric over a thick cardboard core with PVC slide rails on each side. The lid fits snugly once folders are hung inside. Folders are not included.

Limits of the hanging-file format

The box only accepts hanging folders that run on side rails, so top-tab or non-hanging files cannot be used. Capacity is fixed at the internal volume of 1968 cubic inches; additional boxes are required for larger archives. The collapsible frame saves space when empty but cannot expand beyond the stated dimensions.

Deciding specification: 1968 cubic inches internal

This single figure determines whether the box fits your active filing workload. If your current paperwork exceeds that volume you will need multiple units or a different storage class. If it fits, the box delivers rail-based access, a secure lid and flat storage when not in use.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 15x12.5x10.5 in collapsible box or a fixed-size alternative?

This collapsible box folds flat when empty and expands to 15x12.5x10.5 in with 1968 cubic inches of space, so you can store it away and still fit both letter and legal files when in use.

What does the 1968 cubic-inch capacity mean for everyday filing?

It holds roughly 1.5 pounds of documents, enough for several hundred letter or legal sheets in hanging folders while the PVC slide rails keep them gliding smoothly.

How do the PVC slide rails and lid work together in practice?

Smooth PVC rails on both sides let hanging folders slide freely, and the snug-fitting lid closes over the folders to protect contents from dust and light.
