1TB 2.5" SATA internal SSD with V-NAND 2-bit MLC, up to 560 MB/s read, 530 MB/s write and 1.5M hour MTBF
The Samsung 860 Pro MZ-76P1T0BW is a 2.5 inch internal solid state drive built for high-end PCs, workstations and NAS systems. It uses V-NAND 2-bit MLC memory and a Samsung MJX controller to deliver consistent performance for gamers, IT specialists and creative professionals. The drive supports AES 256-bit hardware encryption compliant with TCG Opal and IEEE 1667 standards.
With 1TB of storage, the drive handles large 4K video projects, 3D data and heavy multitasking without slowing down. Sequential reads reach up to 560 MBps and writes up to 530 MBps, while random read IOPS hit 11,000 at QD1 and 100,000 at QD32. Random write IOPS reach 43,000 at QD1 and 90,000 at QD32, giving headroom for demanding mixed workloads. The SATA III interface caps maximum throughput at 6 Gbps.
As a solid state drive with no moving parts, it operates silently in any 2.5 inch bay. Active power consumption averages 2.2W with a 4.5W burst maximum, keeping heat output low inside laptops or compact desktops. The operating temperature range spans 0°C to 70°C and the drive tolerates shocks up to 1,500G for 0.5 ms. MTBF is rated at 1,500,000 hours for long-term reliability.

Other versions of this model
Yes, the SATA III interface is backward compatible with SATA II ports, though sequential speeds will be limited to the older port's 300 MBps maximum.
Run a benchmark tool like CrystalDiskMark using a 1 GB test file; results should approach 560 MBps sequential read and 530 MBps sequential write on a SATA III connection.
The package contains only the 2.5-inch 7 mm drive and a user manual; cables, screws and brackets must be purchased separately.
