Model 2TB with Heatsink

  • Up to 7000 MB/s sequential read for fast load times
  • Up to 5100 MB/s sequential write for quick file saves
  • 1200 TBW endurance rating for long-term reliability
  • Integrated heatsink maintains performance under heavy workloads
  • AES 256-bit encryption protects stored data

Capacity and endurance

The 2TB drive delivers up to 7000 MBps sequential read and 5100 MBps sequential write with 1,000,000 IOPS random performance. A 1200 TBW rating and 2GB LPDDR cache provide headroom for heavy workloads and sustained transfers.

PCIe 4.0 NVMe interface

The x4 lane Gen 4.0 connection saturates at the quoted speeds, while the NVMe 1.3c protocol and Elpis controller manage latency. Performance scales with compatible platforms; older slots will limit throughput to their maximum capability.

Integrated heatsink and PlayStation 5 fit

The 8.60 mm tall heatsink keeps the controller within thermal limits during extended use and matches the console’s expansion slot dimensions. AES 256-bit encryption, TCG 2.0 and IEEE 1667 support secure data storage without extra software.

Questions about this item

Will the integrated heatsink fit inside my PlayStation 5 expansion slot?

Yes. The drive measures 24.15mm wide, 81.5mm long and 8.60mm high, matching the M.2 2280 form factor and height allowance specified by Sony for the PS5 internal slot.

Does the 2TB capacity provide enough endurance for heavy daily workloads?

The drive is rated for 1200TBW, meaning you could write the full 2TB capacity every day for several years before reaching the warranted limit.

What software tools are available to monitor health and update firmware?

Samsung Magician software provides drive health monitoring, firmware updates, performance benchmarking and encryption management for this model.
