Purpose-built outdoor surveillance

The SAMSUNG LNO-6012R is a 2 megapixel bullet camera designed for exterior monitoring. It captures 1920 x 1080 video at 30 frames per second through a 3mm fixed lens with a 102 degree field of view. Infrared LEDs provide visibility up to 30 metres in darkness and the housing meets IP66 weather resistance.

Suited for single-camera PoE installs

Installers who need a self-contained outdoor unit powered over Ethernet will find the feature set matches the requirement. Hallway view and WiseStream II help optimise bandwidth on narrow scenes. Buyers who require varifocal adjustment, larger local storage than 32 gigabytes, or higher dynamic range than 120 decibels should look elsewhere.

Storage and streaming headroom

A micro SD slot accepts cards up to 32 gigabytes for edge recording. Dual H.264 and MJPEG streams plus WiseStream II compression give flexibility for live viewing and archiving. The fixed 3mm lens and 30 metre IR range set the practical coverage limit; scenes needing wider angles or longer night distance will exceed the camera’s built-in capability.

Questions about this item

Does this camera need a PoE switch or injector to power up?

Yes, the camera uses PoE for power and data, so a PoE switch or injector is required.

Can the 3 mm fixed lens with its 102° view cover the same corridor my old varifocal unit watched?

The 3 mm fixed lens gives a 102° horizontal view, which is wider than many varifocal lenses at their wide end, so it can replace a varifocal set to a wide angle.

How do I confirm the IR LEDs are reaching the full 30 m at night?

View the live feed in darkness; the image should show clear detail out to 30 m with the IR LEDs illuminated.
