65-inch Neo QLED 8K TV

The Samsung QN65QN990FFXZA is a 65-inch Neo QLED television that delivers an 8K resolution of 7680 × 4320 at a 120Hz native refresh rate. It uses the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor for 8K AI Upscaling Pro and Quantum Matrix Technology Pro. The set includes Wireless One Connect to reduce cable clutter and runs the One UI Tizen smart platform with Samsung Vision AI.

Living-room viewers wanting cable-free 8K

This model suits buyers who want a large-screen 8K experience with a clean installation thanks to the separate Wireless One Connect box. It is less suited for rooms where a 65-inch diagonal is too large for the viewing distance or for users who prefer a traditional wired connection hub integrated into the panel itself.

Sustained 240Hz motion handling

Motion Xcelerator 240Hz works with AI Motion Enhancer Pro to maintain smooth motion clarity during long gaming sessions or fast sports broadcasts. Neo Quantum HDR 8K+ and Ultimate 8K Dimming Pro manage peak brightness and local dimming over extended periods, while the 6.2.4-channel speaker system with Dolby Atmos and Object Tracking Sound Pro delivers consistent spatial audio.

Questions about this item

What external devices do I need to use the five HDMI ports on the QN65QN990FFXZA?

Connect 8K-capable sources such as a new games console, a UHD Blu-ray player or a streaming stick; the ports accept up to 7680 × 4320 at 120Hz.

Will my older 1080p Blu-ray player work with the Neo QLED panel?

Yes — the NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor up-scales 1080p content to 8K, and the 120Hz panel displays it at its native refresh rate.

How can I verify the TV is running at 120Hz after setup?

Open the on-screen motion settings and confirm Motion Xcelerator 240Hz is active; the info banner will show a 120Hz signal when a compatible source is playing.
