83-Inch OLED TV with 120Hz Refresh

The Samsung QN83S85HAEXZA is an 83-inch OLED television built for viewers who want pixel-level contrast and 4K resolution at 120Hz. Its NQ4 AI Gen2 processor drives real-time upscaling and motion handling for films, streaming and console gaming. The set runs Samsung Tizen OS with integrated voice assistance and a Gaming Hub for cloud titles. A graphite-black finish and slim profile suit modern living rooms.

Buyers Who Need Self-Lighting Pixels

This model suits buyers who prioritise perfect blacks, wide viewing angles and low input lag for 120Hz gaming. It is not for shoppers who require a brighter panel for sunlit rooms or those who need more than four HDMI inputs for complex AV racks. Users wanting a smaller screen or a lower price point should consider other sizes or technologies.

120Hz Native Refresh Rate Decides Gaming Fit

The panel’s native 120Hz refresh rate combined with FreeSync Premium determines whether motion stays smooth in fast-paced games. If your sources top out at 60Hz, the extra headroom goes unused. Verify that your console or PC can output 4K at 120Hz to make full use of this specification.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 83-inch S85HA over a smaller OLED for my living room?

The 83-inch screen fills a wide field of view for cinema-like immersion, while the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor keeps 4K detail sharp at this size.

How does the 120 Hz refresh rate actually look when I am gaming or watching sports?

Motion Xcelerator 120 Hz combined with FreeSync Premium reduces blur and tearing, so fast motion stays smooth and responsive.

What does the four HDMI 2.1 setup with eARC let me connect without hitting a bandwidth ceiling?

Four HDMI inputs support 4K at 120 Hz each, and eARC passes lossless audio to a soundbar or receiver without compression.
