SAMSUNG Wisenet XND-6083RV 2MP Dome Camera

The SAMSUNG Wisenet XND-6083RV is a 2 megapixel Full HD network dome camera built for indoor and covered outdoor surveillance. It captures 1920 x 1080 resolution video at up to 120 frames per second using a CMOS sensor. The white housing provides 164.04 ft infrared night vision for low-light monitoring.

Installation and Common Issues

The varifocal lens adjusts from 2.80 mm to 12 mm with 4.3x optical zoom, letting installers set the exact field of view after mounting. Dome housings require careful sealing to maintain the IP52 rating against dust and dripping water. Over-tightening the dome cover can crack the bubble, while loose cable glands allow moisture ingress that triggers false motion alerts.

Pre-Installation Checks

Verify the recorder or VMS supports H.265, H.264, Motion JPEG, H.265M, H.265H, H.264M, and H.264H compression formats listed for this camera. Confirm the network infrastructure provides sufficient bandwidth for 120 fps streams at 1920 x 1080 resolution. Ensure the mounting surface can accommodate a dome form factor and that the IK10 impact rating matches the site vandalism risk. Buyers needing longer IR range or higher pixel counts should consider other models.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the camera is recording at the full 120 fps after installation?

Check the live view or recorded footage settings in your NVR or VMS client to confirm the stream is set to 1920 x 1080 at 120 fps.

What accessories are included in the box and what must I purchase separately for a complete setup?

The camera unit is supplied; you will need to buy a compatible PoE switch or injector, an NVR or storage server, and mounting hardware suitable for the installation surface.

Which lens setting should I choose between the 2.80 mm and 12 mm ends of the varifocal range?

Use the wider 2.80 mm setting for broad coverage of large rooms or yards, and zoom toward 12 mm with the 4.3x optical range when you need tighter detail on a specific area.
