Purpose and fit

San Jamar Versa-Mat liner suits commercial bars, kitchens and storage rooms that need a cleanable surface for shelving. The open-grid design lets air circulate and moisture drain away, keeping bottles and supplies drier. It is sold new in black and ships as individual 12 by 12 inch sections.

Before ordering

Measure each shelf to confirm the 12 inch square modules will cover the area without excessive gaps. The grid can be cut with ordinary scissors to match curves or corners. Verify that the 1/4 inch thickness does not reduce needed clearance for tall items or door swings.

Sustained use

Interlocking tabs keep the mats from shifting when stock is slid across them day after day. Lightweight construction makes it practical to lift whole sections for regular washing and sanitising. The durable polymer resists cracking and staining through repeated wet-dry cycles.

Questions about this item

Does the SAN VM5280BK Versa-Mat include fasteners or adhesive for installation, or must they be purchased separately?

The mat uses an interlocking grid design that connects pieces without separate fasteners; the lightweight material can also be cut to fit, so no adhesive or hardware is required.

How do I decide between a single 12-by-12-inch mat and multiple mats for a wider shelf?

Each mat measures 12 inches wide by 12 inches deep; calculate the shelf area and order enough mats to cover it, using the interlocking edges to join them seamlessly.

What does the quarter-inch thickness mean for glassware stability on a busy bar?

At 1/4 inch thick, the open-grid surface keeps bottles and glasses level while letting spills drain through, reducing slippage during service.
