SanDisk 32GB SDHC Memory Card

The SanDisk 32GB SDHC memory card provides 32 GB of flash storage for devices that accept the Secure Digital High Capacity format. It is suited for photographers and general users who need removable media for everyday capture and transfer tasks.

Practical limits of the SDHC standard

The SDHC specification caps capacity at 32 GB and uses the FAT32 file system, which restricts individual files to 4 GB and prevents use in hardware that only supports the older SD standard. Devices must explicitly support SDHC to recognise this card.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 32 GB version or a higher-capacity SDHC card for my device?

Select the 32 GB card if your device supports SDHC and you need a single card for everyday photos and Full HD video; move to a larger SDXC card only when your device explicitly supports SDXC and you shoot 4K or long bursts.

What does the 32 GB rating mean once the card is in my camera?

The 32 GB label is the total raw capacity; after the camera formats the card with its file system you will have slightly less space available for photos and videos.
