A 4 TB 2.5" SATA III internal SSD with DRAM cache, 3D NAND TLC, up to 560 MB/s read and 520 MB/s write, 90,000 read IOPS, 82,000 write IOPS, and 400 TBW endurance
The SanDisk WD Blue SA510 4TB drive uses 3D NAND TLC memory and a DRAM cache to serve content creators and everyday users who need a large, reliable SATA upgrade. It fits any 2.5-inch bay and connects through the standard SATA III interface for broad desktop and laptop compatibility.
Four terabytes provide ample space for project files, media libraries and operating systems, while the 400TB TBW endurance rating supports heavy write cycles over the drive’s life. Sequential reads reach 560MBps and writes 520MBps; random performance tops out at 90,000 read IOPS and 82,000 write IOPS, beyond which sustained throughput will level off.
With no moving parts the drive runs silently and produces minimal vibration compared to mechanical disks. Active power averages 60mW, peaking at 1,800mW during reads and 2,000mW during writes, while idle slumber draws 36mW and DEVSLP only 12mW. The operating range spans 0°C to 70°C, keeping temperatures in check under normal workloads.

Other versions of this model
Yes, the SATA III interface is backward compatible with SATA II ports, though sequential speeds will be limited to the older port's maximum.
Run a benchmark tool such as CrystalDiskMark or AS SSD and compare the sequential read and write results to the 560 MBps and 520 MBps specifications.
The box contains the 4 TB 2.5" SSD and a download code for Acronis True Image cloning software; mounting brackets and SATA cables are not included.
