The Sangoma Vega 60G connects four analog phones and four PSTN lines to an IP network. It is built for small offices replacing a legacy PBX or adding SIP trunks without rewiring.

Analog port limits

Each FXS port supports one standard telephone with call waiting, forwarding, transfer, three-way conference, do-not-disturb and message waiting indication. Each FXO port terminates one PSTN line for inbound and outbound calls.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 4 FXS / 4 FXO version or a different port mix?

The VEGA-60G-0404 provides exactly four FXS ports for analog phones and four FXO ports for PSTN lines in a single unit.

What does the 4 FXS / 4 FXO headline mean once the gateway is installed?

You can connect up to four analogue handsets and four outside telephone lines simultaneously, with each port handling its own call independently.

Which interface standard does the gateway use and what does it limit?

The unit links to the IP network through a standard Ethernet connection, so call capacity is bounded by the four FXS and four FXO ports rather than the LAN speed.
