Purpose & Audience

The Sangoma Vega 60G 8 FXS Gateway connects up to eight analogue phones or fax machines to a SIP-based VoIP network. It is built for small offices or branch sites that need to keep existing handsets while moving telephony onto an IP PBX or hosted platform.

Fit & Exclusions

Organisations that require digital ISDN lines, PRI trunks or more than eight analogue ports should look elsewhere. The unit also does not support cellular failover or integrated routing functions, so networks needing those capabilities will need additional equipment.

Deciding Specification

Eight FXS ports are provided, each delivering standard analogue signalling and a full set of supplementary features such as call waiting, transfer, three-way conference and message waiting indication.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 8 FXS ports are registering and passing calls after I connect analog phones?

Watch the port status LEDs on the front panel — each FXS line lights solid when registered and flashes during an active call, so you can see all eight channels working at a glance.

What ships with the Vega 60G 8 FXS gateway and what must I source separately?

The unit includes the gateway, a rack-mount kit and a power supply; you will need to provide Ethernet cabling, analog phones or a PBX for the FXS ports, and a SIP trunk or PBX account for VoIP service.

Which Vega 60G variant should I choose if I need eight analog extensions?

Select the VEGA-60G-0800 model — its part number ends in 0800, indicating the 8-port FXS configuration that matches your requirement.
