Professional 3LCD projector for meeting rooms

The Sanyo PLC-WXU700A is a new 3LCD business projector delivering 3800 ANSI lumens at a native 1280 x 800 resolution. It suits offices and classrooms that need bright, readable images under normal lighting. Built-in speakers and wireless networking support cable-free presentations from Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices.

Brightness headroom and contrast ceiling

At 3800 ANSI lumens the unit sits well above the 3500 lumen threshold, giving clear visibility in medium-sized rooms with ambient light. The 500:1 contrast ratio provides adequate separation for slides and spreadsheets but runs out on dark video scenes or detailed shadows. Colour correction and picture-in-picture help optimise the available dynamic range.

Connectivity limits of the installed interfaces

HDMI, dual VGA, composite, S-Video and RS-232 cover legacy and current sources, while RJ-45 LAN enables network control and monitoring. Wireless networking adds mobile device mirroring without extra adapters. Audio output is limited to a mini-jack for external speakers. The medium throw ratio requires standard placement distance; ceiling and rear projection modes are supported for flexible installation.

Questions about this item

Will the 3800 ANSI lumen 1280x800 projector display a clear image from my older laptop's VGA port?

Yes, the projector provides two VGA D-Sub 15-pin inputs so you can connect a legacy laptop directly and project at the native 1280x800 resolution.

How can I verify the 3800 ANSI lumen brightness and 500:1 contrast are performing correctly after installation?

Display a test pattern over HDMI or VGA; a uniform white field should appear bright at 3800 ANSI lumens, and a checkerboard pattern should show distinct dark and light areas at 500:1 contrast.

Which cables and accessories are included with the Sanyo PLC-WXU700A and what must I purchase separately?

The unit includes a power cord, VGA cable, remote control and wireless networking module; HDMI, composite RCA, S-Video, RS-232 and audio cables are not supplied.
