Desk Soundbar for PC and Mobile

The Sanyo SW-012 is a compact soundbar designed for desktop setups. It connects through a fixed USB-C cable that carries both power and audio from a computer. Bluetooth 5.4 adds a wireless path for phones or tablets. The 15 watt output drives a single channel through dual 52 millimetre drivers.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

The unit draws power directly from the USB-C host, so no separate adapter is required. Passive cooling keeps operation silent during music playback or conference calls. The MDF wood cabinet helps dampen vibration at higher volumes. Power consumption stays within standard USB-C limits for typical desktop use.

Dual Mode Tuning for Calls and Music

A double-click on the front LED knob switches between Music Mode and Conference Mode. Conference Mode boosts mid-range vocal clarity for video calls without a built-in microphone. Music Mode restores a balanced full-range response for entertainment. The clock display auto-syncs via Bluetooth and uses a 24-hour format.

Questions about this item

How do I install the SW-012 soundbar and what is the common mistake?

Plug the fixed USB-C cable into a PC, laptop, or Mac for instant audio and power; on Mac select "USB Audio" in Sound Preferences. The common mistake is forgetting to switch the output device in system settings after connecting.

What maintenance or replacement will the SW-012 need later?

No user-serviceable parts are inside. The MDF cabinet and 52 mm drivers are sealed; only occasional dusting of the front grille and LED knob is required.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the 15 W soundbar?

The 4-ohm impedance and compact 8.8 cm x 37 cm x 7 cm enclosure limit thermal headroom, so extended high-volume playback may trigger protection before battery or cable issues arise.
