Sanyo SW-012 Soundbar 15 W Bluetooth 5.4 White

What this soundbar is

The Sanyo SW-012 is a compact desktop soundbar rated at 15 watts with a 4 ohm nominal impedance. It uses two 52 millimetre full-range drivers in a high-density MDF wood cabinet finished in white. The unit measures 37 centimetres wide, 8.8 centimetres deep and 7 centimetres high, fitting under monitors or between dual screens. A front LED clock display shows the time in 24-hour format.

Installing and common issues

Power and digital audio arrive through a fixed USB-C cable that plugs into a PC, laptop or Mac; on macOS simply select "USB Audio" in Sound Preferences. The same cable can connect to any USB-C charger for standalone Bluetooth 5.4 playback with a phone or tablet. Double-click the LED knob to toggle between Music Mode and Conference Mode, which enhances vocal clarity for calls. There is no built-in microphone, so a separate headset or webcam is required for two-way communication. The clock auto-syncs via Bluetooth and has no battery backup.

Limits of USB-C audio and Bluetooth 5.4

The single USB-C connection carries both power and audio, so the host must supply enough current over that port; a separate charger is needed for Bluetooth-only use. Bluetooth 5.4 handles the wireless link, but range and stability depend on the source device and local interference. The 15 watt amplifier and 52 millimetre drivers cannot reproduce sub-bass frequencies, and the cabinet has no provision for adding an external subwoofer. Conference Mode only processes playback audio; it does not capture or transmit your voice.
