Female F-Type Couplers for Coaxial Extension

This pack contains two F81 barrel connectors that join two male F-type cables into a single run. Each unit is machined from nickel-plated brass and rated to 3 GHz for satellite, cable-TV and broadband signals. The round port ends seal against moisture and suppress RF and EM interference.

Installers extending cable runs indoors or outdoors

Technicians joining cables for cable boxes, satellite receivers, modems or antenna combiners will find the couplers compatible with major providers such as Dish Network, DirecTV, Comcast and Verizon. Users who need a male-to-male joiner, a right-angle adapter or a tool-less compression fitting should select a different part.

3 GHz bandwidth rating

The connectors are specified to pass signals up to 3 GHz, which covers the full downstream and upstream spectrum used by DOCSIS, satellite IF and over-the-air distribution. Systems that require operation above this frequency cannot use these couplers.

Questions about this item

What type of coaxial cable connector must I already have to use these F81 female couplers?

You need cables terminated with male F-type pins; the couplers accept two male F connectors to join them inline.

Will these nickel-plated brass couplers work with the older RG6 cable already in my walls?

Yes, the F81 barrel is designed for standard RG6 coaxial cable and maintains a 3 GHz bandwidth through the splice.

How can I verify the connection is passing signal cleanly after installing the coupler?

Check for a solid picture on your TV or a stable modem sync; the round port ends and seamless splice minimise hum, static and moisture ingress.
