Flatback Tape for Bulk Packaging

This pack contains twenty-four rolls of Scotch 2517 flatback tape, each measuring two inches wide by sixty yards long with a 6.5 mil thickness. The kraft-coloured backing provides a consistent surface for labelling or sealing. It is intended for high-volume packing, bundling or splicing tasks in warehouse or office environments.

Suited for High-Volume Sealing and Labelling

Teams that seal large numbers of cartons or need a writable surface for marking boxes will find the case quantity practical. Buyers who only need a single roll for occasional use or who require a transparent film tape for invisible mends should look at a different product type.

Check Dispenser Compatibility and Surface Needs

Verify that your hand-held or desktop dispenser accepts a two-inch core width before ordering. Confirm that the kraft paper backing matches your labelling workflow, as it is opaque and not see-through. Ensure the 6.5 mil thickness meets the tensile requirements for your typical package weight.

Questions about this item

What dispenser width is needed for the 2-inch rolls in this 24-pack?

Use any standard desktop or handheld dispenser that accepts a 2-inch wide roll with a 3-inch core; the 60-yard length fits most common models.

Can the 6.5-mil flatback tape be layered over older paper-based masking tape without lifting?

Yes, the rubber-based adhesive bonds well to clean paper-backed tapes, but remove any dusty or degraded sections first for reliable hold.

How can I verify each roll meets the 6.5-mil thickness after opening the case?

Measure a sample with a calibrated micrometer; consistent readings at or near 6.5 mil across the width confirm the specification.
