Heavy-Duty Carton Sealing Tape

Scotch 375 is a clear polypropylene packaging tape built for heavy-duty box sealing. The hot-melt resin adhesive delivers a 35 lb/in tensile strength across a 48 mm by 50 m roll. It suits warehouses, fulfilment centres and anyone closing high-volume shipments.

Hand-Applied Roll for Standard Dispensers

The 2-inch width fits common hand-held tape guns, so operators can seal cartons without extra equipment. A 3.1 mil thickness resists splitting while the adhesive stays tacky between 40 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Each roll provides 55 yards of continuous sealing length.

Upgrade from Light-Duty or Filament Tapes

Switching from general-purpose tape removes the risk of popped seams on heavy or overstuffed boxes. The 18-month shelf life keeps stock usable longer than thinner alternatives. Buyers needing wider tapes, machine-applied formats or extreme-temperature ratings should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How long will a roll of Scotch 375 tape last on the shelf before the adhesive degrades?

The manufacturer rates the shelf life at 18 months when stored in the original carton at room temperature.

Does the 3.1 mil polypropylene film stretch or split when pulled tight on heavy cartons all day?

The tape is rated at 35 lb per inch tensile strength, so it resists stretching and splitting during continuous hand application on heavy boxes.

Will the hot-melt resin adhesive bond properly if my warehouse drops below 40 °F or rises above 80 °F?

The tape is specified for 40 °F to 80 °F; outside that range the adhesive may not achieve its full heavy-duty bond.
