Floor marking tape for industrial use

Scotch 471 vinyl tape comes in a continuous blue roll measuring 108 ft long and 2 in wide. The 5.2 mil thickness provides durability for floor marking applications in facilities and traffic safety environments. This non-reflective tape does not glow in the dark and carries no printed legend.

Limits of non-reflective vinyl tape

The tape lacks retroreflective properties so visibility depends on ambient lighting conditions. Adhesion performance varies with surface preparation and environmental exposure over time. Vinyl material may not suit extreme temperature ranges or heavy vehicle traffic without periodic replacement. Users needing photoluminescent or reflective markings should select a different product grade.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 108 ft roll or a different length for my aisle markings?

The 108 ft roll covers long runs with fewer seams, and its 5.2 mil vinyl resists forklift traffic and cleaning chemicals without tearing.

How does the 5.2 mil thickness hold up once the tape is applied to a concrete floor?

At 5.2 mil the vinyl conforms to slight surface texture, resists abrasion from pallet jacks, and stays bonded through daily sweep-scrub cycles.
