Clear Acetate Film Tape for Label Protection

Scotch 800 Prescription Label Tape is a transparent acetate film that protects printed prescription labels from abrasion, moisture and smudging. The clear film keeps important information readable during handling and storage. It suits pharmacies and clinics that need reliable label overlays.

Sustained Durability Against Moisture and Light

The acrylic adhesive resists oozing and maintains bond strength over extended periods. The film resists fading from sunlight and prevents labels from puckering, yellowing or drying out during long storage. This construction ensures labels remain legible through repeated exposure to common liquids.

Easy Application by Hand or Dispenser

Low static and a smooth unwind allow fast application on clean, dry surfaces using a 3-inch core dispenser or by hand. Light pressure while smoothing avoids trapped air bubbles. The tape is not suited for rough or oily surfaces where adhesion may fail.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the Scotch 800 tape produce when applied continuously all day?

The tape generates no heat or noise; it is a passive film that unwinds smoothly with low static and applies silently by hand or dispenser.

What dispenser core size must I already own to use the 3‑inch core on this 72‑yard roll?

You need a dispenser that accepts a 3‑inch diameter core; the roll will not fit smaller standard cores.

Will the 2.5‑mil acetate film adhere cleanly to older prescription labels that have yellowed or dried out?

Yes, the acrylic adhesive bonds well to smooth surfaces and resists oozing, keeping aged labels readable without puckering.
