Strongest Clear-to-the-Core Tape

Scotch Heavy Duty Packaging Tape 22-8 delivers extreme holding power for heavy tasks. It adheres instantly and resists splitting or tearing during application. The clear-to-the-core film backing stays transparent on the carton. Two rolls are included for high-volume sealing jobs.

Built-In Dispenser Prevents Roll Back

Each roll ships with a manual dispenser designed so the tape will not fall back onto the core. Rubber adhesive bonds immediately to overstuffed cartons without waiting. Smooth, easy unwinding reduces wrist strain during repetitive sealing. The 3-inch core diameter fits the supplied dispenser exactly.

Meets US Postal Regulations for Standard Packages

Tape is manufactured in the USA and complies with US Postal Service requirements for standard parcels. Matte-finish clear material reads barcodes cleanly after sealing. Compact 2.5 by 4 by 2.8 inch roll dimensions store neatly on a packing bench. Manual winding operation requires no power source.

Questions about this item

How often will I need to replace the rubber adhesive roll once the 800-inch length runs out?

Each roll provides 800 inches of tape; when it is exhausted you simply open the second roll in the 2-count pack or buy a new 22-8 pack.

What stops me from sealing more boxes in one session — the tape length or the manual dispenser?

The 800-inch roll length is the hard limit; the manual dispenser only controls unwind speed and prevents the tape falling back on the core.

Does the rubber adhesive soften or the dispenser get hot when I run tape continuously all day?

The tape uses a rubber-based adhesive on a film backing with no powered parts, so extended manual use adds no heat and the adhesive stays stable.
