Electric Latch Retraction Kit

The SDC LR100VDK enables electric access control for mechanical exit devices. It retracts the latch and pulls the pushpad into the dogged position when energised. This allows momentary or sustained push and pull operation of the door. It is designed for Von Duprin 99 series hardware.

Motorised Latch and Pushpad Operation

The kit changes a mechanical exit device into an electrically controlled opening. When power is applied the motor retracts the latch and depresses the pushpad simultaneously. This removes the need for manual dogging and supports both momentary and sustained access modes.

Compatibility Limited to Von Duprin 99 Series

The retrofit kit fits only the specified 99 series exit devices. It cannot be used with other brands or different model lines. Installers must verify the exact device series before purchase. No other mounting configurations are supported.

Questions about this item

Will the motor or latch mechanism need periodic lubrication or replacement?

The motor-driven latch retraction is designed for sustained push-pull operation; no user-serviceable lubrication points are identified for the kit.

What limits continuous duty cycle on the LR100VDK?

Continuous operation is constrained by the motor's thermal capacity during sustained latch retraction and dogging.

How much heat or noise does the unit produce when energised all day?

The motor runs quietly while holding the pushpad depressed; warmth remains low during normal access-control duty.
