Studio Cardioid Condenser Microphone

The SE sE4100 is a large-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone built for studio and live recording. It uses a hand-crafted 1" gold-sputtered true condenser capsule to capture vocals, acoustic instruments and amplifiers with a warm, velvety character. The cardioid pattern focuses on the source while rejecting off-axis sound.

85 dB Signal-to-Noise and 9 dB(A) Self-Noise

An equivalent noise level of only 9 dB(A) and a signal-to-noise ratio of 85 dB give clean headroom for quiet passages and detailed overheads. The capsule handles high sound-pressure sources such as guitar cabinets and drum overheads without distortion. It runs out of pattern flexibility because it is cardioid-only, so multi-pattern sessions need a different model.

Standard 3-Pin XLR for Professional Interfaces

A standard 3-pin male XLR connector plugs directly into audio interfaces, mixing consoles or external preamps. The microphone measures 5.75 x 2.32 x 1.10" and weighs 9.88 oz, fitting common shock mounts and stands without special adapters. Phantom power is required to operate the true condenser circuit.
