High-capacity desktop hard drive

The Seagate BarraCuda Pro is a 3.5-inch internal hard drive built for desktop workstations, home servers and entry-level direct-attached storage. It spins at 7200 RPM with a 128 MB cache and a SATA 6 Gb/s interface. The drive delivers sustained data rates up to 250 MB/s for demanding creative workloads.

Suited for creative pros and heavy workloads

This drive fits users who need large, fast mechanical storage for video editing, photo libraries or local backups. It includes a 5-year limited warranty and two years of Seagate Rescue Data Recovery Service. Buyers who want solid-state speed or a smaller 2.5-inch form factor should look at something else.

6000 GB capacity decides the fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the 6000 GB capacity. It supports workloads up to 300 TB per year and spans the 2 TB to 14 TB range of the series. Verify that your system has a free 3.5-inch bay and a SATA power and data connection before purchasing.
