SecureDrive KP 250GB encrypted portable SSD

The SecureDrive KP is a 250 GB external solid-state drive with on-board keypad authentication and military-grade AES 256-bit XTS hardware encryption. It holds FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validation certificate 3297 and earned a Red Dot award in 2019. The drive suits professionals and organisations that must protect sensitive data without relying on software tools.

USB 3.0 connectivity and OS independence

A USB 3.0 interface provides power and data through a single cable, so no external adapter is required. The device works on any system with a USB port regardless of operating system, freeing the user from driver installations or platform-specific utilities. Encryption and authentication are handled entirely inside the drive, leaving host resources untouched.

On-board keypad, brute-force wipe

A wear-resistant keypad lets the user set admin and user PINs directly on the hardware. After 10 consecutive failed entries the drive automatically wipes its encryption key, rendering data unrecoverable. An inactivity auto-lock engages when the drive is idle, and built-in antivirus scanning adds a further layer of protection without extra software.

Questions about this item

How many failed PIN attempts will trigger the drive to wipe itself?

After 10 consecutive incorrect PIN entries the drive automatically erases all data to prevent brute-force access.

Does the hardware encryption generate noticeable heat or fan noise during continuous operation?

The drive has no moving parts and no fan, so it runs silently and stays cool even during all-day use.

What host interface must my computer provide for the drive to function?

A standard USB 3.0 port is required; the drive is OS-independent and needs no extra software or drivers.
