21-Gauge Brads for Pneumatic Tools

These electro-galvanised steel brads measure 1-3/8 inches in length and come in a strip of 5000 pieces. They are designed for finish and trim work where a slender fastener reduces wood splitting. The galvanised coating provides corrosion resistance for interior and protected exterior applications.

21-Gauge Compatibility Check

The single specification that decides fit is the 21-gauge wire diameter; the tool magazine and driver must accept this exact gauge. Length tolerance is also critical — magazines built for shorter or longer brads will misfeed or jam. Verify both gauge and 1-3/8-inch length against the nailer manual before purchasing.

Strip Loading and Common Issues

Strips load straight into compatible pneumatic brad nailers without tools, but the collation adhesive can become brittle in cold weather and cause feed interruptions. Store cartons at room temperature before use and keep the magazine clean of dust and oil residue. Bent brads from rough handling are the most frequent cause of double fires or skips.

Questions about this item

What does the 21 ga. thickness mean for holding power in trim work?

The 21-gauge wire is fine enough to leave nearly invisible holes in moulding while still providing enough tensile strength for light trim and paneling.

Which nailers accept this strip-style collation?

Any 21-gauge pneumatic brad nailer designed for strip-loaded fasteners will feed these brads without modification.

How much bench space does a 5000-count box occupy?

The carton fits in a standard parts-bin shelf and weighs little enough to move by hand, keeping the brads dry until needed.
