Depository safe for cash handling

The Sentry Safe UC039K is a solid steel depository safe built for businesses that need to secure cash, receipts and keys at the point of sale. Its drop slot allows deposits without opening the door, while the dual key lock and anti-pry door resist forced entry. The 12 mm door and 3 mm body provide a physical barrier suited to retail counters, back offices and small cash operations.

Interior capacity and practical limits

The interior measures 10.0 in high by 7.8 in wide by 8.5 in deep, giving 0.38 cubic ft of usable space. That volume holds daily cash drawers, deposit slips and small valuables but will not accommodate larger document boxes or bulky items. The anti-fish hopper protects deposits from retrieval tools, yet the single compartment and lack of shelves mean everything sits loose on the floor.

Bolt-down installation constraint

Four pre-drilled anchor holes and the included bolt-down kit let you secure the 29 lb safe to a concrete or wood surface, preventing removal. The piano hinge on the bottom side and anti-fish slot are integral to the design, so the unit must remain upright and fixed in place to work as intended. No fire rating or water endurance is specified, so the safe should not be relied on for disaster protection.

Questions about this item

Will the 12.0 in height fit under my counter that has 12.0 in clearance?

The exterior height is 12.0 in, so it needs slightly more than 12.0 in of vertical clearance to install without forcing.

How can I verify the anti-fish hopper is working after installation?

Try to reach a hooked wire through the drop slot; the hopper design blocks retrieval of deposited items.

Does the box include the bolt-down kit or must I buy anchors separately?

The bolt-down kit with hardware is included; you only need to supply the drill and appropriate bits for your floor type.
