Adds eight SATA 6Gb/s ports for SAS or SATA drives via a PCIe x8 2.0 link using the SAS 2008 controller
The Linkreal LRSA9608-8S installs in a PCIe x8 slot and presents eight SATA connectors that accept both SAS and SATA drives at up to 6.0 Gbps. It targets system builders who need to add many hard disks or solid-state drives to a server, workstation or industrial PC without using the motherboard’s native ports.
The card uses the SAS 2008 controller and a PCIe 2.0 x8 link capable of 5.0 Gbps per lane, so aggregate bandwidth scales across all eight ports rather than bottlenecking on a single channel. Each drive negotiates independently at 6.0, 3.0 or 1.5 Gbps, allowing mixed generations to run at their native speeds during long copy or parity operations.
A 2U/3U compatible bracket lets the card fit in shallow rackmount cases where full-height cards cannot be installed. Eight standard SATA connectors face the rear, keeping cable routing tidy and leaving drive bays accessible for hot-swap trays or fixed mounts.

The card uses a SAS 2008 controller on a PCIe 2.0 x8 link at 5.0 Gbps and supports SATA 3.1 at 6.0 Gbps, so power and heat scale with eight active drives rather than the controller alone.
It installs in a PCIe x8 slot (gen 2.0) and provides eight SATA ports for SAS or SATA devices at up to 6.0 Gbps each.
Yes, the SATA 3.1 interface negotiates down to 3.0 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps, so legacy drives operate at their native speeds.
