Two-Port USB 2.0 Manual Switch

This manual switch lets two computers share a single USB 2.0 peripheral such as a printer, scanner or camera. A push button selects the active host without software drivers. The compact black housing measures 12.5 by 9.5 by 3 cm and draws power from the USB bus.

Passive Operation and Compatibility

The unit contains no active electronics, so it runs silently and adds no measurable power draw beyond the connected device. It supports Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Mac OS through the standard USB 2.0 interface. No external adapter is required for normal desktop peripherals.

Sustained Use Behaviour

Under continuous operation the switch remains passive, so thermal output is negligible and there is no fan noise. Switching is instantaneous and does not degrade signal quality over time. The mechanical button is rated for repeated daily use in office environments.
