4 inch swivel plate caster

The ZORO SELECT 2G043 swivel plate caster fits wheelbarrows, carts and similar yard equipment. It carries a 300 lb load rating on a single polyurethane wheel with a polyolefin core. The 4 inch diameter wheel rolls smoothly over hard surfaces. Gray finish matches common outdoor frames.

Thermals noise and power draw

This caster has no motor, fan or electrical components, so it produces no heat, noise or power draw during normal use. The polyurethane tread resists marking floors and absorbs vibration without generating friction heat. Operation remains silent under the rated 300 lb load.

Prop 65 warning and included hardware

The product carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm. No swivel lock, brake or additional mounting hardware is supplied with the unit. Buyers needing locking swivel or braking functions must source those components separately.

Questions about this item

How do I bolt the 4 in plate caster to my cart, and which step do people skip?

Align the plate holes with the cart frame, insert grade-5 bolts through all four holes, and torque them to spec; the step most often skipped is using a lock washer or thread-locker so vibration does not loosen the bolts.

What part of this 300 lb polyurethane wheel will wear out first and need replacement?

The polyurethane tread on the polyolefin core will gradually abrade or chunk under heavy loads; when the tread is worn down to the core or shows flat spots, replace the entire wheel assembly.

At what load does the swivel raceway start to bind during continuous pushing?

The raceway is rated for 300 lb; sustained loads at or near that limit combined with frequent turning will cause the swivel to stiffen before the wheel or plate fails.
