8K Bi-Directional HDMI Switch

The SHERRIVA UHD-21800 is an HDMI 2.1 bi-directional switch designed for users who need to connect two source devices to a single 8K display or route one source between two screens. It supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 240 Hz, and 4K at 120 Hz with HDR10+ and HDCP 2.3 compliance. This unit suits gaming consoles, streaming sticks, and home-theatre sources requiring 48 Gbps bandwidth.

Button Switching and Optional USB Power

A single button on the enclosure toggles between the two connected inputs or selects the active output in splitter mode, providing instant source changes without menu navigation. The switch draws operating power from the HDMI source itself; a micro-USB port is available for an optional 5 V supply when a source cannot deliver sufficient current. No HDMI cables are included in the package.

48 Gbps Video Data Rate

The decisive specification is the 48 Gbps maximum video data rate, which determines whether the switch can pass uncompressed 8K 60 Hz or high-refresh 4K signals without compression. If your source and display require the full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth for 8K 60 Hz or 4K 240 Hz, this rating confirms compatibility; lower-bandwidth setups will also function normally.

Questions about this item

Does the SHERRIVA UHD-21800 require any periodic maintenance or component replacement?

No, the SHERRIVA UHD-21800 has no moving parts or consumable components, so it does not require scheduled maintenance or part replacement under normal use.

What is the first limit reached when running 8K video continuously through this switch?

The 48 Gbps video data rate ceiling is the first hard limit; sustained 8K@60Hz content uses the full bandwidth, leaving no headroom for higher resolutions or refresh rates.

How much heat or noise does the UHD-21800 produce when powered all day?

The unit is passively cooled and draws power only from the HDMI sources or an optional 5 V Micro USB input, so it runs silently and generates negligible heat during continuous operation.
