Questions about this item

How do I install the ShorePhone IP 230 and what step is often missed?

Connect the network cable to the integrated 10/100 ethernet switch port on the phone, then link a PC to the second port; the step often missed is ensuring the switch port is enabled for PoE so the handset powers up without a separate adapter.

What maintenance or replacement will the ShorePhone IP 230 need later?

The handset cord and headset jack see daily wear; plan to replace the coiled cord if audio becomes intermittent and keep a spare headset plug for the RJ9 port.

What limit appears first on the ShorePhone IP 230 during sustained use?

The integrated 10/100 ethernet switch caps throughput at 100 Mbps, so heavy call volumes combined with PC traffic can saturate the link before the three line appearances are fully utilised.
