The ShorePhone IP 230 is a wired VoIP telephone built for office knowledge workers who depend on voice communication. It provides three line appearances, eight fixed function keys, four context-sensitive soft keys and a dedicated headset port for hands-free operation.

Integrated 10/100 Ethernet switch

A built-in 10/100 switch lets the phone and a PC share a single network drop while supporting VLAN tagging, DiffServ/ToS and UDP port 5004 QoS. Power is drawn from standard 802.3 af Class 2 PoE, with an optional local supply if PoE is unavailable.

2.9 W idle to 4.4 W maximum draw

Under continuous use the handset settles at 3.6 W active power and peaks at 4.4 W, while idle consumption rests at 2.9 W. The MGCP endpoint negotiates G.722, BV-32, BV-16, G.711 and G.729a codecs for consistent wideband or narrowband audio during long calls.
