Carton sealing tape for heavy-duty shipping

This clear tape uses a rubber adhesive and rates heavy duty with a tensile strength of 42 lb per inch. Each roll measures 2 inches wide by 55 yards long and comes in a 36-roll carton. The HP 500 series suits high-volume packing stations.

Temperature range and shelf life

The tape performs from minus 20 degrees F up to 150 degrees F, covering cold storage and warm transit. A 12-month shelf life keeps the adhesive reliable across seasonal inventory turns. No special climate control is required during normal warehouse storage.

36-roll pack quantity

The carton contains exactly 36 rolls, which determines how long a single order lasts a packing line. Buyers who need fewer rolls or a different pack count must choose another SKU.

Questions about this item

How do I apply the 2 in wide HP 500 tape by hand without it splitting?

Unroll the tape straight onto the carton flap, press firmly with your palm across the full 2 in width, then tear against the dispenser edge; pulling at an angle or jerking the roll causes the 3 mil film to split.

When should I replace a roll that has been on the shelf?

The manufacturer rates shelf life at 12 mo; after that the rubber adhesive can lose tack, especially if stored near the 150 °F upper limit, so rotate stock and discard rolls past the date code.

What fails first when a sealed pallet sits in a hot warehouse?

At sustained temperatures approaching 150 °F the rubber adhesive softens first, reducing the 42 lb/in tensile bond before the 3 mil backing shows any degradation.
