Premium Grade Masking Tape

Shurtape Colonial Premium Grade Masking Tape is a general-purpose masking tape designed for tasks that require premium performance. It offers high tensile strength, a flexible backing and good quick stick for reliable adhesion. The tape conforms well to surfaces and unwinds easily during application. It resists water, solvents and oil for durability in varied conditions.

Check Surface and Temperature Needs

Verify that the operating temperature range of 50F to 200F suits your project environment. Ensure the beige colour is acceptable for visibility or coding requirements on the job. Confirm the substrate is compatible; the tape adheres well to poly sheeting and vinyl. Note that this tape is not intended for bake-oven paint cycles.

Thermals and Power in Normal Use

The tape functions across a service temperature range of 50F to 200F without degrading adhesion. Its flexible backing and 9% elongation allow it to maintain contact during thermal expansion and contraction. No power is required for operation as it is a passive adhesive product. Noise is not a factor during application or while the tape is in place.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need anything else to start masking?

The box contains one roll of Colonial Premium Grade Masking Tape measuring 1-1/2 in. wide by 60 yds. long. No extra tools or accessories are required to use it.

Should I choose a different width or length for my paint job?

This listing is for the 1-1/2 in. x 60 yd. roll. Other widths or lengths would be separate SKUs, so pick the size that matches the trim or surface you are masking.

How does the 50F to 200F service temperature hold up on a real job site?

The tape stays flexible and keeps its adhesive strength from cool mornings at 50F up to warm afternoons at 200F, so it will not turn brittle or lose grip during typical paint prep and removal.
