Product purpose

Shurtape DT-200 is a double-sided non-woven tissue tape built for corrugator splicing in continuous web processes. It suits converters and production lines that need reliable bonds on paper, plastics, metals, foams, foils and nameplates. The 1 in by 55 yds roll on a 3 inch core fits standard dispensers used in high-speed converting environments. It replaces the discontinued DT 100 for existing workflows.

Temperature and handling limits

The tape withstands temperatures up to 400F during corrugation, giving it a clear thermal ceiling for hot splicing stations. Its non-woven tissue carrier conforms to irregular surfaces but will not bridge large gaps or structural voids. Adhesion is aggressive and quick-sticking, so repositioning after contact is limited; precise placement is required on first application. Shear strength is strong, yet the tissue backing can tear under extreme tension or sharp-edge peeling.

Deciding specification

The 400F temperature resistance is the single figure that determines whether this roll fits the process. If the corrugator or laminating line runs hotter, the adhesive will fail regardless of its other strengths. Buyers who need higher thermal tolerance must select a different tape construction.

Non-woven tissue carrier

The tissue backing provides excellent conformability to uneven substrates such as foams and foils. It is not a film or foam carrier, so it does not add thickness or cushioning beyond the adhesive layers. Users requiring a thicker gap-filling carrier or a moisture-barrier backing will find this construction unsuitable.
