Clean paint lines on hard surfaces

Duck Clean Release blue painter's tape delivers medium adhesion for glass, vinyl, metal, wood, painted walls, trim and tile. The synthetic rubber-based adhesive prevents lifting and paint seepage during application. It meets ASTM D 6123/D 6123M-97 (2012) Type I standards. Each pack contains four rolls measuring 1.41 in by 60 yds.

Apply to clean dry surfaces for best results

The tape removes cleanly for up to 14 days and resists UV exposure for indoor and outdoor projects. Do not use on wallpaper, unpainted wallboard, ceiling tile or surfaces with uncured coatings as adhesion may fail or damage the substrate. For delicate surfaces such as wallpaper, drywall or ceiling tile a different product is required. Press edges firmly to minimise paint bleed.

Limited to 14-day clean removal window

After 14 days the adhesive may leave residue or tear upon removal, especially under sustained UV exposure. The Type I standard covers baseline performance but does not guarantee results on unlisted substrates. Temperature and humidity extremes can reduce the effective removal period below the rated duration. Plan project timing accordingly.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the tape is releasing cleanly after 14 days on my painted trim?

After the 14-day window, pull the tape back at a low angle; it should come off in one piece without leaving adhesive residue or lifting the underlying paint on glass, vinyl, metal, wood, painted walls, trim or tile.

What exactly comes in the 4-pack and do I need any extra tools to apply it?

The pack contains four rolls of blue painter’s tape, each 1.41 in. wide by 60 yds. long; no additional tools are required — just press the tape firmly onto the surface with your hand or a putty knife.

Which roll width should I choose for standard window and door trim?

The 1.41 in. width supplied in this 4-pack matches common trim profiles and provides enough coverage for most window casings, door frames and baseboards.
