Friction electrical tape for tools and splices

This 30 ft roll of friction tape uses a 15 mil cotton cloth construction to protect rubber electrical splices. It also serves well for wrapping hockey sticks, baseball bats and garden tools where a tacky, durable grip is needed.

Thermals noise and power draw not applicable

The tape is a passive material that generates no heat, emits no sound and draws no power during normal use. Performance depends only on correct application and environmental conditions.

Questions about this item

How do I wrap the 3/4-inch friction tape around a rubber splice without leaving gaps?

Stretch the cotton cloth tightly as you spiral it over the rubber splice, overlapping each turn by about half the tape width so the 15-mil thickness seals evenly.

When should I replace the tape on a hockey stick or garden tool handle?

Replace it once the cloth frays, loses its grip, or the adhesive no longer holds against moisture and repeated impact.
