The Sick VTE18-4N2312 is a cylindrical photoelectric proximity sensor with an angled light-emission design. It delivers an NPN switching output and selectable light or dark switching via the L/D control cable, making it suitable for automation tasks that require a simple discrete signal.

Mounting and wiring needs

The brass nickel-plated metal housing measures 60.6 mm in overall dimension and carries an IP67 enclosure rating for dust and water resistance. A 2 m PVC cable with 0.14 mm² conductors and 5 mm outer diameter provides the electrical connection, while the potentiometer allows on-site sensing-range adjustment.
