The Sick VTF18-4N1812 is a cylindrical photoelectric proximity sensor that uses background blanking to ignore objects beyond the set range. It operates on 10 V DC to 30 V DC and provides an NPN switching output selectable between light and dark switching via a control cable. The focused infrared LED produces a 3 mm spot at 50 mm distance, making it suitable for precise detection tasks in automation and assembly environments.

With a response time of 2 ms and a switching frequency of 250 Hz, the sensor maintains consistent signal quality during continuous operation. Simple four-wire cable mounting
