Protects 120/240 V AC circuits with a 25 A, 2-pole bolt-on breaker rated 10 kA interrupting capacity
This Siemens BQ-series miniature circuit breaker provides 25 A over-current protection on a 120/240 V AC single-phase supply. It uses a bolt-on mounting style that secures directly to compatible Siemens panelboards. The toggle actuator gives a clear visual indication of the breaker state. It is intended for residential and light-commercial distribution panels.
The breaker carries a maximum AIR rating of 10 kA at the rated voltage, which defines the highest prospective fault current it can safely interrupt. It has no DC voltage rating, so it must not be used on direct-current circuits. The frame size is 125 A, fixing the physical envelope and the maximum pole spacing within the panel. These limits determine whether the device can be applied in a given installation.
Bolt-on mounting requires the panelboard to accept BQ-series frames, so the breaker cannot be snapped into DIN-rail or plug-in bases. Lug terminals accept copper conductors from 14 AWG to 6 AWG and aluminium conductors from 12 AWG to 6 AWG. The unit operates up to 104 °F ambient temperature. It is not suited for panels that demand a different frame size or connection method.

The 25 A rating is the trip current; the 125 A frame is the physical housing shared across the BQ series. Choose the 25 A version for a 25 A circuit.
It means the breaker can safely interrupt up to 10 000 amps of fault current at 120/240 V AC.
No — the breaker uses a bolt-on mounting style for Siemens panelboards, not a DIN-rail clip.
