SKU CH-VKQX-NCPCY

Three-pole miniature circuit breaker rated 15 A at 240 V AC with a 10 kA interrupting capacity for Siemens EQ load centres

  • 15 A three-pole protection for 240 V AC circuits
  • 10 kA interrupting rating handles high fault currents
  • Plug-in mounting fits Siemens EQ load centres directly
  • Toggle actuator gives clear on/off indication
  • Lug terminals accept 14 to 8 AWG conductors

Three-Pole 15 A Circuit Breaker

The SIEMENS Q315 is a miniature circuit breaker rated at 15 amps and 240 volts AC with three poles. It plugs into Siemens EQ load centres and carries a 10 kA interrupting rating at 120 volts AC. The toggle actuator provides manual switching and clear trip indication. Terminal lugs accept wire from 14 AWG to 8 AWG.

For Three-Phase Branch Circuits in EQ Panels

Electricians wiring three-phase branch circuits in compatible Siemens EQ load centres will find this breaker fits the plug-in mounting style. It is not rated for DC applications, so installers needing DC protection must look elsewhere. The 10 kA rating at 120 volts AC may not satisfy systems requiring higher interrupting capacity.

10 kA Interrupting at 120 V AC

The maximum AIR rating of 10 kA at 120 volts AC is the key specification that determines whether this breaker meets the fault-current requirements of the installation. Verify the available short-circuit current at the panel before selecting this device.

Questions about this item

Will the 3.4 in length and 12.8 in depth fit in my existing Siemens EQ load center?

Yes, the 3.4 in length and 12.8 in depth match the standard QP frame dimensions for Siemens EQ load centers.

How can I verify the 15 A 3-pole breaker trips correctly after installation?

Apply a known overload above 15 A on each phase; the toggle should move to the centre trip position on all three poles simultaneously.

Does the box include the lug terminals for 14 to 8 AWG wire or must they be ordered separately?

The lug terminals for 14 to 8 AWG conductors are factory-fitted; no separate lug kit is required.
