Purpose-built antenna for AirLink MP70 and MG90

The Sierra Wireless AirLink 6in1 SharkFin antenna is designed specifically for the AirLink MP70 Wi-Fi model and MG90 router. It combines 2x2 MiMo LTE, active GNSS with 26dB gain LNA, and 3x3 MiMo dual-band Wi-Fi in a single compact housing. Fleet and industrial installers get one mounting point instead of several separate antennas.

Check router model and connector types before

This antenna is certified for the AirLink MP70 Wi-Fi model and MG90 only; other routers may not match the RF connector genders or frequency tuning. The 4m cable terminates in male SMA and RP-SMA plugs, so verify that your gateway presents the matching female ports. The bolt-mount base requires a suitable panel hole and mounting surface.

Sealed OEM housing handles outdoor thermals

The integrated radome is rated for vehicle-roof exposure, so heat from the active GNSS LNA and MiMo arrays dissipates without a fan. No active cooling means zero acoustic output in normal operation. Power is drawn solely from the router’s antenna ports through the 4m cable, adding negligible load to the gateway’s supply.

Questions about this item

What cables and connectors come with the 6001197 antenna and what must I source myself?

The antenna ships with 4m cables ending in male SMA and RP-SMA plugs; you only need to ensure your router has matching SMA or RP-SMA sockets.

Should I choose this 6-in-1 SharkFin or a simpler antenna for my AirLink MP70 Wi-Fi or MG90?

This model combines 2x2 MiMo LTE, active GNSS with 26dB LNA gain, and 3x3 MiMo dual-band Wi-Fi in one housing, matching the MP70 Wi-Fi and MG90 exactly.

What does the 26dB GNSS LNA gain mean for positioning once the antenna is bolted on my vehicle?

The 26dB low-noise amplifier boosts weak satellite signals, giving faster, more reliable GPS/GNSS fixes even in urban canyons or under foliage.
