Compact LTE Router for IoT Deployments

The AirLink LX40 is a compact LTE and LTE-M/NB-IoT router built for IoT and M2M applications. It targets installers who need simple, managed cellular connectivity for cameras, point-of-sale terminals, smart lockers or remote sensing equipment in fixed indoor or protected outdoor locations.

Passive Thermal Design with PoE Power Output

The fanless unit operates silently and draws power through a single Gigabit Ethernet port that also supplies PoE to attached devices such as IP cameras. An additional USB port provides local access for USB-enabled peripherals without extra cabling.

Single Gigabit Ethernet Port with PoE

The router includes one RJ45 network port that handles both data and power delivery, so sites with only a single wired drop can connect and power a downstream device. Buyers who need multiple wired uplinks or redundant Ethernet paths should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How is the AirLink LX40 mounted and which step is often missed?

The router is DIN rail mountable; the step often missed is securing the grounding lug to the rail before applying power.

What maintenance or replacement will the LX40 need later?

Firmware updates are the primary ongoing maintenance; the internal modem and SIM slot are not user-replaceable.

Which limit appears first under sustained load on the LX40?

The single Gigabit Ethernet port caps wired throughput at 1 Gbps, becoming the bottleneck before the LTE modem reaches its peak.
