Massey Ferguson 8480 Dyna VT Tractor Set

This 1/87 scale diecast set pairs a Massey Ferguson 8480 Dyna VT tractor with a matching Krampe dump trailer. It arrives in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging as an officially licensed product. The model is aimed at adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts who value true-to-scale detail in a compact display format.

1/87 Scale Diecast for Display Builds

The tractor measures approximately 2.25 inches long, extending to roughly 7 inches when coupled with the trailer. Real rubber tyres and a mix of diecast metal with plastic parts keep the footprint small while preserving authentic proportions. The removable cab top reveals a detailed interior, so the piece fits directly into existing HO-scale layouts without requiring additional scenic elements.

Functional Trailer and Accessory Details

The Krampe dump trailer features a tilting bed and an opening rear gate, adding operational interest to a static shelf. Both units carry official licensing markings and arrive in a brand-new box that doubles as protective storage. No batteries, assembly tools or extra software are involved; the set is complete as shipped for immediate display or collection integration.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/87 scale tractor and trailer fit on a standard HO gauge layout?

Yes, the 1/87 scale matches HO gauge exactly, so the tractor and trailer will integrate with standard model railroad scenery and track spacing.

Does the diecast construction make the model heavy enough to stay put on a vibrating layout?

The diecast metal body with plastic parts gives it sufficient weight to remain stable on a layout, while real rubber tires add grip on smooth surfaces.

Do I need any tools or adhesives to attach the trailer to the tractor?

No tools or glue are required; the trailer couples directly to the tractor's hitch and the dump body tilts and the rear gate opens by hand.
