A 1U redundant server power supply delivering 400W with 1+1 hot-swappable modules, active PFC, and Cybenetics Bronze efficiency at up to 45°C
The Silverstone GM400-1UB delivers 400 W of continuous DC output in a 1U redundant form factor measuring 106 mm wide by 41.5 mm high by 260 mm deep. It uses a 1+1 hot-swappable design with pull-out handle bars so a failed module can be replaced without shutting down the rack. The unit accepts 90–264 Vrms input at 47–63 Hz and provides a single +12 V rail rated at 384 W alongside combined +3.3 V and +5 V output of 150 W. Active PFC maintains a power factor above .9 at full load.
Two 40 mm DC fans cool the supply, producing a stated noise level of 52 dBA while sustaining full rated output at ambient temperatures up to 45 °C. Overall efficiency falls between 82 % and 85 % at full load with a single module, meeting Cybenetics Bronze targets to reduce wasted heat and lower electricity consumption. Mean time between failures is rated at 100,000 hours, reflecting the industrial-grade reliability focus.
The pull-out handle bars let technicians remove or insert a module in seconds, eliminating downtime during maintenance. The 1+1 redundant configuration ensures the server remains powered even if one module fails, a critical feature for always-on infrastructure. No additional software or cables are described in the specifications; the value comes from the mechanical hot-swap design and the efficiency certification itself.

Slide the unit into the 1U bay until the pull-out handle clicks, then secure the mounting bracket screws; the step often missed is fully tightening both bracket screws so the hot-swap connector seats properly.
The 40mm DC fans are rated for 100000 hours MTBF; when a fan degrades, pull the handle to hot-swap the entire module while the second 400W unit keeps the server running.
At 45°C the supply delivers 400W continuously; exceeding that temperature triggers over-temperature protection before any voltage rail hits its 384W +12V or 150W combined +3.3V/+5V limit.
