SIOCEN LMDC0202 DC Power Extension Cord

This two-pack provides 6.6ft of reach for devices using a 2.1mm by 5.5mm barrel connector. Each cord carries 12 volts at up to 1 amp through copper conductors. The black cables are UL listed for safety compliance. They suit indoor installations where the stock power lead falls short.

Suits CCTV cameras, LED strips and 12V accessories

Builders extending power to IP cameras, DVR units, LED signage or similar 12V gear will find the plug fits and the length useful. The 1 amp rating limits use to low-draw devices. Buyers needing higher current or a different barrel size should look at something else.

6.6ft length with 1 amp headroom

The cord comfortably handles 12V loads up to 1 amp such as typical security cameras and LED lighting runs. Voltage drop over 6.6ft is minimal at these currents. It runs out on equipment drawing more than 1 amp or requiring 15V, 24V or other voltages not supported by the 12V rating.

Questions about this item

What plug size must my existing 12 V power adapter have for this 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm extension cord to connect?

Your adapter needs a 5.5 mm outer diameter and 2.1 mm inner diameter barrel plug; measure it before buying because not all 12 V adapters use that size.

Can I daisy-chain this cord with an older 12 V cable that uses the same 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm barrel connector?

Yes, the male and female ends match the standard 5.5 mm × 2.1 mm barrel so it will connect directly to another cable of the same specification.

How do I confirm the extension is delivering power correctly after I plug it in?

The connected device — camera, LED strip, DVR or other 12 V equipment — should power on and operate normally; if it does not, re-check that both barrel plugs are fully seated.
