25 ft Outdoor Extension Cord

This 25-foot power extension cord carries a 13 A, 125 VAC rating for 1625 W loads. It uses 16 AWG conductors with a male NEMA 5-15P plug and a female NEMA 5-15R receptacle. The cord is ETL and cETL listed and passes a 2500 V high-voltage test. It suits outdoor power tools, lighting and garden equipment.

13 A 1625 W Capacity Headroom

The 13 amp rating handles most lawn mowers, trimmers and seasonal lighting without overload. At 1625 watts the cord runs near its limit with high-draw heaters or compressors, so those devices need a heavier gauge. Voltage drop over the 25-foot length is minimal for typical resistive loads. Continuous maximum draw should be monitored on warm days.

IP65 Vinyl Jacket and Corrosion-Resistant Pins

A three-conductor pure copper core is wrapped in a flame-retardant, IP65-rated vinyl jacket rated to -58 °F. The jacket resists UV, rain, snow and abrasion from dragging on rough ground. Plug pins use a non-corroding alloy to maintain contact after repeated outdoor use. The black finish stays flexible in cold weather.

Questions about this item

Can I use this 25 ft 16 AWG cord with my older 13 A power tools without voltage drop issues?

The cord is rated 13 A, 1625 W at 125 VAC with 16 AWG conductors; for runs of 25 ft it will support the full 13 A load, but total circuit load must stay within the tool and outlet ratings.

How can I verify the cord is safe to use after I plug it in outdoors?

Check that the ETL/cETL mark is present on the jacket, the male NEMA 5-15P and female NEMA 5-15R connectors seat firmly, and no damage is visible on the IP65 vinyl outer jacket before energising.

Does the package include only the 25 ft cord or are adapters or stakes also supplied?

The box contains the 25 ft 16/3 SJTW extension cord with moulded NEMA 5-15P plug and NEMA 5-15R connector; no additional adapters, stakes or mounting hardware are included.
