SMA C201 USB-C KVM Switch

The SMA C201 is a bi-directional USB-C KVM switch that lets two laptops, tablets, phones or game consoles share one display or one source drive two displays. It handles video up to 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and 1080p at 165 Hz, plus 10 Gbps data and 100 W charging. Switching is done by front push buttons or the included wired remote.

Sustained-load behaviour

The switch requires no external power supply for basic operation, drawing what it needs from the connected hosts. During continuous 8K 60 Hz or 4K 120 Hz sessions the 10 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 channel maintains full throughput for large file transfers without throttling. The bi-directional design keeps both host and display paths active, so a single source can feed two monitors steadily.

Thermals, noise and power

With no fan and a compact 2.97 by 2.3 by 0.5 inch enclosure, the unit runs silently. Aluminium casing dissipates the modest heat from 100 W Power Delivery pass-through and 10 Gbps signalling.
